The components of the governing body of the Regulatory Board are the Plenary, the President, the Vice-president and any other stipulated in the statutes.
Adapting to the changes in the new rules, the Regulatory Board clearly differentiates its organizational structure. On the one hand, it has created a managing body dedicated to the management and generic promotion of the Denominación de Origen. On the other hand it has created a certifying body dedicated to the certification of the wineries in the fulfilment of the Specifications and Regulations of the Protected Denominación de Origen and the Regulatory Board, as certifying entity must be accredited with the UN 45011 standard issued by the Spanish National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).
With the object of meeting the necessary requirements the Regulatory Board has created a Certification Structure made up of one Certification Director and Auditors.
It has also created a Report Committee that guarantees impartiality in the act of certification, made up of a member looking after the interests of the wine makers, a representative of the wine growers, a representative of the distributors, a consumer, an expert in wine making and wine growing and a representative from the Department of Agriculture, Stockbreeding and the Environment.
